One of the interesting concepts in the
Social Network Analysis domain is Collaborative Authoring. Collaborative
authoring allows multiple users to add and modify content of a document. People
contribute to collaborative environments by expressing their views/opinions on
various topics. This is seen in popular websites like Quora, Wikipedia and in
various blogs and discussion forums. Since multiple users are allowed to
add/modify content, one of the pitfalls that can be noticed is the lack of
reliability and stability. Authors may not necessarily be well versed in the
topics they write about, they may lack the expertise to provide accurate
descriptions, giving room for errors, misinformation and bias.
Crowd Scripting aims at solving the
pitfalls of collaborative authoring. Ordell Ugo currently is doing research in this area to provide an
efficient framework that supports Crowd Scripting. It determines the people who
are most suitable for providing content for a given context. The strongest
subset of such people is obtained and they are allowed to contribute to a
document of a particular theme.
Well its really interesting..!!!
